My wellness philosophy
There's a quote that says "you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." For me, wellness is all about surrounding myself with people that I both admire and can share experiencing my own interests and passions with. In the past, I've tended to seek validation from others and do/say whatever to get everyone around me to like me, and this resulted in negative influences being around in my life that limited me from reaching my potential. In recent years I've worked on being more mindful and selective with how I spend my time and who I spend it with, including stepping out of my comfort zone to meet new people and have new positive experiences.
Success to me is the feeling of thoroughly enjoying the company of whoever I'm around every day within my workplace and social circle. It's the feeling of sharing daily laughs with coworkers and friends who I admire. It's also the idea of being completely comfortable with getting out of my comfort zone, as this is the only way I can continue to grow as a person, meet more new people, and have more positive experiences.
